On the 22nd of August 2009 the christening of the new coastguard vessel took place in Fosnavåg. The godmother was the former Finance Minister, Kristin Halvorsen.
Siem Pearl is the first of the 8 vessels that Kleven Maritime is building for Siem Offshore. The VS 491 CD AHTS vessels will be built at Kleven Maritimes different departments.
